Steffen Helmling, Ph.D. joined PolyMedix in November 2010 as Vice President, Business Development.  Dr. Helmling has more than 15 years of combined research, industry and business development experience.  He joined PolyMedix from Noxxon Pharma, Inc., where he held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as Executive Vice President, Business Development.  During his tenure at Noxxon Pharma, Dr. Helmling developed and managed drug discovery partnerships with pharmaceutical companies including Pfizer, Roche, and Eli Lilly.  Dr. Helmling holds a Master’s degree in biology from Bowling Green State University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the Sackler School of Biomedical Sciences at Tufts University.
